Either myself or the webmaster of the Lansing Heritage site probably took the exterior shot of 1161 n. Vine St. We visited there about then. The building was then used by Soundeluxe Microphones, who were assembling condenser mics in several rooms upstairs. This building seems to continually serve the sound industry in some capacity.

There is a great old album called "Magoo in Hi-Fi". I've had it since I was a kid. (A gift, no doubt, from my late audiophile uncle.) Side 1 is the usual Magoo shtick, where he blindly tries to assemble a hi-fi system with the help of his nephew. Side 2, the Mother Magoo Suite, actually has some nice music cuts on it. One in particular is "Very Contrary Mary" - sung by Marni Nixon. The whole album is on youtube.
